Equipment description

○ This equipment is bonding the tape supplied through Tack system by using an ultrasonic, stacking in a pattern and producing a Tailored Blank, and this machine has 10 to 30% high structural performance compared to a typical laminate tape.

 

○ The stacked Tailored Blank is possibly molding 3-D automotive composite parts as well as composite used in a variety of industrial through the press of multi-functional composite fast forming system.

 

○ When using a thermoplastic prepreg and the thermoplastic tape, it is possible to produce having the excellent properties like a thermoplastic resin and it has higher toughness, rigidity, impact attenuation, chemical resistance, and flammability properties as compared to a continuous fiber thermoset composite.

 

○ In particular, this project focuses on the composite development of Local reinforcement with continuous fibers that is hybrid of Local Long-fiber Functional Integration of high-speed fiber-reinforced composite molding technologies and unidirectional fiber tapes (UD Tape) or weaving thermoplastic fiber prepreg (Organosheet) and a long-fiber thermoplastic composite, so it is essential for combination of multi-functional composite fast molding system, injection molding machine, QEE-TECH CELL, etc.

 

○ Until now, interior materials and Semi-structural parts (Front-end Module, Instrument Panel, etc.) are important area for fiber reinforced automobile composite based on short and long fiber, but body parts (Space Frame, Monocoque, Impact Beam, Seat Back Structure, etc.) based on continuous fiber composite is expected to show the biggest growth area at the future, so this equipment is seen to have a significantly higher utilization value of the future.
